Carl M. Knapp is an experienced Montgomery County attorney who handles family, civil, criminal and estate cases. Carl grew up in Blue Bell and graduated from Wissahickon High School. He enrolled in Saint Joseph’s University and graduated, with honors, with a degree in Business Management. He then attended Widener University School of Law and was awarded his law degree (Juris Doctorate) in May of 1992. While at Widener Law School, he was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He passed the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar Exams and was admitted to practice by the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Carl Knapp is also admitted to practice in the United States Federal Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
After law school, he worked as a Judicial Law Clerk in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. As a Law Clerk, Carl assisted a trial judge with all aspects of litigation and worked on numerous civil, family and criminal cases. This experience provided him with valuable insight into the inner workings of the Court system. In 1994, he left his position as a Law Clerk and began working for a general practice, litigation law firm in Norristown, Montgomery County. Over the next 21 years, he represented numerous clients with various legal issues including divorce, custody, child support, alimony civil litigation, personal injury, auto accidents, criminal defense, wills, estates and business law. He was appointed to serve as Chairman of the Board of View for Montgomery County and served in that position for 6 years. The Board of View decided cases involving Eminent Domain (when a governmental entity takes a person’s property for certain government purposes (i.e. widening a roadway). His years of experience make him uniquely qualified to represent clients in many areas of the law. He is committed to offering his clients excellent representation at affordable costs.
Carl lives in Montgomery County with his wife and two children. He is an avid martial artist and has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He enjoys working out and spending time on Long Beach Island, New Jersey with his family.
Nicole S. Newton is an attorney practicing in Montgomery and Bucks Counties. She focuses on family law, estates, criminal defense, and civil litigation. Raised in Harleysville, Nicole attended Souderton Area School District prior to attending Immaculata University, where she majored in History and English; completed the honors program; and received the History Department Award upon graduation. She obtained her law degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. Nicole also has master’s degrees from Villanova University and Catholic University of America.
She started working for Knapp Law in 2016 as a paralegal and now works as an associate attorney. Nicole is a focused and dedicated attorney with a strong work ethic. She uses her problem-solving abilities to assist clients with their legal issues. Clients enjoy working with her and appreciate her empathy, understanding and guidance.
Nicole continues to live in Montgomery County, where she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, reading, and relaxing with yoga.
